ZACH BRYAN X MONTANA
Zach Bryan is one of my favourite country artists, so when the chance arose to learn from an experienced album designer, I couldn’t resist reimagining his work! During my research, I noticed that most of Zach’s albums feature photographs, sparking the idea of bringing a fresh perspective through illustration. The project focused on his EP, “Boys Of Faith,” comprising five heartfelt songs. I dove deep listening to each track, trying to uncover their hidden meanings. Each piece of art symbolizes the song creating a cohesive and meaningful visual narrative for the album.
Album Covers and Their Meanings
Pain Sweet Pain
The first verse in Pain. Sweet, Pain emphasizes the importance of humbling oneself and reflecting with one’s past. It suggests that acknowledging and making amends for past mistakes is essential for personal growth.
Deep Satin
This song reflects a lot about love and relationships. The mention of “deep satin” suggests that their relationship was both luxurious and intimate. The pre-chorus reflects on the inconsistent nature of love.
Boys Of Faith
“Boys of Faith” by Zach Bryan (ft. Bon Iver) seems to touch upon themes of friendship, nostalgia, and the passage of time. The song centers around a group of friends who are reconnecting and reminiscing about their shared past.
Throughout the song there is lots of talk of traveling from place to place, and how each place is different but their faith always remaining the same.
Nine Ball
The song “Nine Ball” by Zach Bryan tells a story about a young boy’s relationship with his father, who is depicted as a gambler. The lyrics highlight the father’s tendency to make risky bets and place his hopes on the son’s success.
Sarah's Place
The lyrics share a sense of homesickness, reminiscing about the good times spent together at a particular location called “Sarah’s Place.”
