Pearl Hearts is a cowboy boot company encouraging to love yourself. At Pearl Hearts we design boots to fit your body. We are not the usual boots that you have to fit into, and we definitely not the boots that you will keep in the closet until you get the perfect body. You are perfect exactly as you are now.
Pearl Hart was a Canadian born outlaw, the “Bandit Queen,” in the 50s. A woman that went down in history because she was a woman that had a “man’s job.”
At Pearl Hearts, our brand is rich with symbols embodying the strength and resilience of women. Pearls symbolize independent elegance, while wild flowers adversity. Hearts are the core, signifying self-love. Together, these symbols converge to create more than boots; they tell a story of empowerment, celebrating the unique spirit of women with elegance, resilience, and self-love in every step with your brand new boots.

my why
This project has turned into a passion project. Growing up on a miniature horse farm and working with my horses, it was apart of my every day life to wear cowboy boots. But, the thing is I have always been the girl with bigger calves. So at the beginning of the day my boots slip on just fine but as the day goes on my legs swell and my legs bulge over the top of my boots and it is NOT comfortable. Yes, I can wear the shorter cowboy boots, I do. But the thing with shorter cowboy boots is they do not protect your calves from rubbing and creating irritation when you are riding. And to be simply honest I love the look of the tall boots and I want to wear them too. I needed a solution.
Experimenting
With lots of experimenting, the best outcome was cutting the back of the boots and sewing in a stretch material. This way there is no change to the look of the classic cowboy boot. With this little change, the shaft of the cowboy boot can stretch with my legs throughout the day.
marketing materials
Once I got my product made I needed some marketing materials. I wanted this to be a whole brand. With more research and experimenting, I tried cyanotype printing. Cyanotype printing is a slow-reacting, economical photographic printing formulation sensitive to light. I am someone who loves trying new things and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this.

In the end, I made two jean jackets, two tote bags, sewn patches on one pair of jeans, two shirts, and a hat just like the one I drew on the woman on the left.
